Olds Ambassador Student Tenor Trombone, Fullerton Calif

Straight from our brass (and silver) instrument repair shop, our USED horns are brought back to life…All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered (if needed), patches repaired (if necessary) and the slides are reworked for the best possible play.  Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and are in good playable condition.  We are proud to offer this refurbished instrument for sale. We have tried to describe it as it is, and are happy to answer any questions asked.  #/2016

Up for sale is a late 1950’s Old Ambassador Student/Intermediate Tenor Trombone.  The horn has serial # 266xxx. This instrument is made from yellow brass and solid nickel. There are a few small dings on upper bell, with minor scratching throughout.  A small crack has been soldered/repaired on the bell flare and can be felt as a small crease on the inside of the bell.  There is minor pitting at the grips.  The slide action is good/very good with good compression.  The stockings are in good shape; there is  very minor flaking, but does not affect the slide action. This instrument is not lacquered; therefore, this instrument may have to be polished periodically (we recommend using Weiman METAL Polish).  This trombone comes with a mouthpiece and a used, worn case for shipment.  The case should be replaced.  The slide bore is .485/.500 and the bell is 7 1/2″.  This would be a very good choice for a beginning student or intermediate musician to play. This horn has a good  bright full tone, with good power and intonation. Thanks for looking and check out our other items! All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop710 N.
