Vintage 1969 King Liberty 2b Trombone Nice

Here is a very nice vintage King 2B trombone.  The bell inscription reads:  2B, King, Liberty, King Musical, Instruments, Eastlake, Ohio.  The serial number 447— would date this one to early in 1969.  This horn is in very good condition.  There are just a few small dings on the bell and a very small ding on the tuning slide crook.  The lacquer looks very good from a slight distance.  Up close you can see scratches and some minor wear.  There are some small spots of lacquer loss at the bell bead.  The slide action is very smooth and fast.  The inner tubes are excellent with no plating loss.  The outer tubes have some scratches and small spots in the lacquer, some lacquer wear in the hand grip area.  The end bow is nice, just a couple of small nicks.  It has the original slimline alligator case in very good condition.  The latch for the slide compartment comes loose but everything stays secure and safe when the case is closed.  This is a great playing and sounding trombone!  It has a sweet, penetrating, powerful tone that doesn’t break up even at the loudest volumes.
