Conn Tenor Trombone Director 18h #210219 Hard Case Conn 12c Mouthpiece Ex Cond

Here is a CONN DIRECTOR Tenor Trombone, Model 18H, Complete with hard case, Conn 12C Mouthpiece, Slide Oil.

The serial number (both outside of slide and frame) is #210219.  According to the CONN Loyalist Trombone web site, it was made in 1954-1970.  (The serial number on the Old Conn Web site dated it back to the 1920s, but that was way too early for this model trombone.)(Updated August 13).

It is in excellent condition, both playing and in appearance.

The slide is super smooth, I just used it last week for a 3 hour dance gig and it was effortless.

The 8″ bell gives you a nice full tone.  The Tuning slide adjusts very easily.  The spit valve has a strong spring and good cork.

The hard case has some rubs on the outside, but the inside blue velvet is in excellent condition, no rips, stains, or tears.

The latch trap door for the mouthpiece and oil is tight.  All the clamps and snaps holding the trombone are tight too.

There are several dimples and dings in the bell, but no Worn Spots from steady use.

I had to look at the serial number several times, so had to find another web site, thanks to a sharp fellow ebayer!

It has been played very little.

I’m selling it as I have too many trombones in the house (been playing for 60+ years) and the wife says sell some of them.

ADDED AUG 13:  Just replaced the last two pictures of the case with photos of both sides of the trombone slide by request.
