Conn 24h Ballroom Trombone. Price Reduced

Conn 24h Ballroom model from about 1930, restored by the owner I bought it from, with new inner slide tubes, renewed satin silver finish, gold accents on counterweight, tuning slide, hand grips and water key.  Very popular model played my many professional players of the era, including Si Zenter.  0.484″ bore (Conn 2 1/2 bore size) , 7″ bell, lightweight slide, serial number 279xxx.   Designed to play ballroom music with good range, intonation and power.  (Most modern instruments with bigger bores and bigger bells can be played louder, but this doesn’t mean they will sound better.)

Case in fair to good condition, probably original.  Small shank mouthpiece receiver.  A Benge 12C (not original) is provided.  Case and horn are both without odor.

This is a tremendous lead horn for both period music but for modern jazz or classical.  It is always smooth, and it will play quite high.  I can get a C#, but I’m not a good lead player.  A good lead player can get an Eb or F easily.

The trombone stand in some of the pictures is not included in the sale.
